Training and Exercise Officer Position

City & County of Honolulu is recruiting for the Training and Exercise Officer position. The position will be responsible for working with stakeholders to plan and coordinate emergency management related training and exercise for the City and County of Honolulu. In addition, the position may be required to staff the City’s Emergency Operations Center or other duty locations during real world emergencies.

 This is a full time position subject to annual renewal with a starting annual salary of $58,308.

 EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in public administration, business administration or a related field. Work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor's degree.

 EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

Four years of responsible experience in the planning and coordinating training programs for large organizations with respect to all-hazards preparedness and response, or coordinating multi-disciplinary emergency management exercises; ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met with respect to emergency management training and exercises; coordinating emergency management exercise conferences.
